My Great Hometown
My home town seems like to be a
typical traditional village in the West Sumatra: there aren't many changes in people’s
life style and culture. In the same time, it also keeps up the modernization.
It takes nearly an hour by car from the air port to
my village; visitors will certainly be exited with the peaceful environment
while entering my small village. One large rice field in the left hand side of
the main road gives you a wonderful view to very far away. Green color of
plants would calm you down so that you are sensible enough to listen to the
wind melody and breathe in pure air. In the right hand side are a series of
houses located a long the road and has a complex of house which look like a big
square. Similar to many other villages, living near the road is helpful for
transportation.
Farmers here are likely happier than citizens:
friendly and most have sense of humor.
Presently, machines replace man-power and people, consequently, spends less time for farm works than before. Therefore, in the remaining time of year, they make handicrafts from bamboo and rattan such as: flower vases, tables and chairs. Those products are exporting to Market Raya and several store as a souvenir for tourism.

In summary, my village has a several tourism object
like many beach, such as Nirwana beach, Padang beach, Air manis Beach, and
Jambak Beach, Old town of my village and Padang mountain. They can entertain
every tourist to come in my village.
